Welcome Sellers

Sell Your Home

At IVR we understand that selling your home can be a stressful experience.  That is why we are here to make your next move as smooth of a transition as possible.  Let us help you navigate the market and get the best price for your home.

Steps to Increase the Value of Your Home

  • Clean and Declutter.  Buyers want to see a clean and clear path when they walk through the home.  They want to picture themselves and their furniture in the home.
  • Adding usable square footage to your home will increase value.
  • Go Green!...Learn how to make your home more energy efficient. Install smart-home technology. We have some ideas we would love to share with you.
  • Update your kitchen and bathrooms. Give these rooms a fresh look.
  • A fresh coat of paint gives a clean fresh look to the interior of your home.
  • What is the first thing you see when approaching your house?  Check the curb appeal.  If you are designing on a dime, our list of contractors can be helpful.  Check our Downloads for more information. (See Service Referral Page).
  • Upgrade exterior doors and windows.

Home Improvements that do not add value!

  • Over-the -top landscaping.  Curb appeal is important, but should not be too extensive.
  • Keep in mind, improvements that do not have universal appeal will not add value.  Put your money to good use.
  • Energy efficient homes are nice; however, solar panels and heated floors may not increase your re-sale value.  The new homeowner will be willing to put their own touch on their new house.
  • There are things that can make your home more marketable, but will not necessarily add re-sale value.  A new coat of paint will not add value, but it will make the buyer appreciate it more than if the walls are dingy or have colors that are too bold.

Safety Factors

The home should be a safe place to live, especially keeping seniors and children in mind.  Are the stair wells safe, stable, and sturdy?  Is the carpet on the stairs worn out?  Are all handrails sturdy and secure?  Are all electrical outlets operating properly?  Sellers can have a licensed contractor or home inspector to help them determine what improvements should be made prior to selling.

Trust the Professionals

Sellers do not have to be experts.  Let us help with the details, and guide you to the professionals who can help you spend wisely and reap the benefits when you sell your home.
